Location: Gladwyne, PA
Design Elements: This newly renovated kitchen replaced a dated kitchen in a home in a beautiful neighborhood just outside of Philadelphia. The minimal use of upper cabinets creates a feeling of openness. The tall blue cupboard was created to appear as an antique cabinet - but was recessed into an existing opening. A large center island was incorporated into the layout as a visual focal point and to add additional work space.
Appliances: The dishwasher is fully integrated to the right of the sink. An existing refrigerator was converted and a new combination wall oven/microwave/warming drawer was added to the new layout.
Countertops: Soapstone, solid block soapstone sink.
